When determining how to achieve the best possible aesthetic outcome for a patient, there are generally 3 categories that we assess during consultation and treatment planning: skin quality, movement, and volume.  

• • Most treatment options performed by our aestheticians – facials, lasers, microneedle, chemical peels, anti-aging skin care – address skin quality. Common skin quality concerns include brown spots, persistent redness or broken blood vessles, enlarged pores, skin dullness or suboptimal texture.  If your main concerns are on this list, a consultation with one of our aestheticians is likely the best place to start.  Your aesthetician can help you determine which treatments are best for you and make sure you are using the best products to help you meet your goals.
  • Some lines are the result of repeated patterns of movement that crease the skin and leave lines behind that become permanent, such as horizontal forehead lines, Crow’s feet, the 11’s between the brows, and vertical lip lines.  These concerns are best addressed with anti-wrinkle injections/ neurotoxins such as Botox, Xeomin or Daxxify.  These treatments can be provided by most physician and PA providers at Dawes Fretzin.
  • Other concerns are the result of volume loss or imbalanced volume in the face.  As we age, the face tends to lose volume at the apex of the cheek, along the jawline, and in front of the ears contributing to loss of the more youthful V shape and heaviness of the lower face.  The face also tends to lose volume near the “parentheses” – the curved lines from the corner of the nose down to the jawline on either side of the mouth.  Lips, too, tend to thin, leading to loss of definition, increased movement and vertical lip lines.  While some people cringe at the thought of fillers because it brings to mind overinjected, bloated or distorted faces, when done expertly with the right products, volume can be restored and balanced using fillers in a very subtle and natural looking way!  At Dawes Fretzin, we can use traditional hyaluronic acid fillers, as well as Radiesse, Sculptra, and Selphyl PRFM to restore volume.
